What does "billed annually" mean exactly?

The full year's cost is charged as a single upfront payment at the time of purchase. For example, the Starter plan is €588 charged once per year, not €49 per month on a recurring basis.

What is a "server" in Argus?

A server is any cPanel-based Linux host you connect to Argus via SSH. Each physical or VPS host counts as one server toward your plan's limit, regardless of how many websites are hosted on it.

Do I need to install anything on my server?

Argus deploys a lightweight agent to each connected server over SSH. The agent handles local scanning and sends results back to your dashboard. No third-party software needs to be pre-installed — Argus works with whatever security tools your server already has.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes. Contact us to change your plan. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Unused time on the original plan is prorated.

Which backup destinations are supported?

Argus uses Restic for backups, which supports local storage, Amazon S3 (and S3-compatible providers), and Backblaze B2. You configure the destination in your dashboard — Argus never has custody of your backup data.

Is there a free trial?

We don't currently offer a self-service trial, but you can contact us to arrange a guided demo of a live Argus instance before you commit.
